Julia Mines

She completed the program, completed her practicum hours, and completed her CADC test. She has not looked backed since. She has been working in the field of addiction and mental health services since December 2000.

Wilford Johnson, CRM, PSS
Lead Mentor
Hello World! My name is Wil Johnson, and I am passionate about peer support services. I specialize in recovery support networking, and a huge advocate for seeking mental health services. I'm a witness to the power of mentorship. Had it not been for my mentors, I wouldn't have been where I am today. "I can’t, but WE can.”

Ashle Tucker, CRM
Lead Mentor
Growing up in Northeast Portland, I witnessed the devastating impact that drugs and alcohol had on my community. For years, I struggled with my own addiction until I found my way to recovery in 2018. Although relapse is a part of my story, it didn't end there. In September of 2022, I celebrated one year of continuous sobriety.
This past year of recovery has been more successful than my previous attempts to stay sober. Engaging in peer mentor services, working the 12 steps of my recovery program, regularly attending meetings, and working with others has made the difference. In July, I became a Certified Recovery Mentor. Being a part of The Miracles Club team gives me the opportunity to help other people who are struggling with addiction.

Dominique Gonzalez, CRM
Peer Mentor
While battling a 30-year alcohol and drug addiction, I moved from state to state until I got sober for the first time in my life over 6 years ago in Eugene, Oregon. Early in my recovery, I enrolled at Lane Community College's Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor program.
Like many addicts in early recovery, I thought I could maintain sobriety on sheer willpower. That worked for a while...until it didn't. I eventually relapsed. When I came back to recovery, I learned the value of having a mentor, working a 12-step program, and staying connected to a support network of like-minded individuals who actively participate in their own recovery.
Today, I am enrolled at Portland Community College, and much closer to achieving my original goal of being a CADC. You can find me at The Miracles Club or out in the community with our team of mentors helping people with a desire for change and a new way of living.
